If you’d like to try out a training plan at your own pace, that’s covered right here.. Watch the video below for a quick view of the 12 Week Mountaineering Training Plan and Nutrition E-Book:
The 12 Week Mountaineering Training Plan has been created to prepare those wanting to climb a mountain such as Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, and others alike, accomodating to the difficulty of the mountain by adding heavier backpack weights and duration of the trip or expedition. It includes:
- Nutrition Fundamentals
- Benefits of Training
- Training Program Rationale
- Understanding the Training Template
- Warming Up & Cooling Down
- Rucking Challenge! (Training with a weighted backpack)
- Stretches
- Exercise Manual
- Anatomy Chart
- 12 Weeks Training Program
This 12-Week Training Plan is a program that focuses on cardiovascular conditioning, core, upper, and lower body strength. This will give mountaineers, hikers, and trekkers a phenomenal preparation to overcome even the toughest terrains.
This plan is designed such that only a backpack is required throughout the whole training. Yes, that’s right! A backpack alone is enough to give you an intense workout, we’ll show you how it’s done.
We recommend you find terrain like the mountain you are training for, with a goal to adjust and progress to carry a backpack weight that you will be carrying (or more) with the intended duration of that hike during your trip.
